Our embedded teams deliver support to Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and Poland’s first energy power station, driving safe, high‑quality solutions with innovative collaboration.
Role Overview
A Senior Civil Engineer will serve as the technical authority for a detailing contract package within the SZC project (SZ1226, SZ1221 or SZ1222). The engineer will manage the entire lifecycle of technical deliverables—both pre‑ and post‑contract signature—ensuring alignment with SZC replication principles and acting as the primary technical liaison between the L3 Detailer and the SZC Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Lead Technical Authority for the L3 detailing contract.
- Provide technical oversight, coordination, and ensure technical surveillance of all L3 detailer submissions.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with SZC standards and replication principles.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all technical matters between the L3 Detailer and the SZC PM.
- Manage the L3 design process across all gateway review phases (GR0 to GRD), coordinating technical consistency and compliance.
- Lead and coordinate technical leads in the surveillance and review of key deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Experience in civil detailing engineering.
- Experience in the nuclear sector is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Codes & Standards on CW and engineering & design processes.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills, particularly in managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex interfaces and resolve technical conflicts.
- Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, replication principles, and configuration management.
