Overview

Mitie is recruiting a Site Security Operation Support Manager to oversee a key client contract in Norwich. The role offers flexible home working, with a requirement to visit the site one to two times a week. It entails a 40‑hour workweek, primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional extras for site visits. The pay rate is £15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure employee welfare checks are completed.
  • Schedule staff and manage time‑cards.
  • Monitor and deliver the training plan.
  • Conduct return‑to‑work interviews.
  • Handle any blow‑outs and urgent incidents.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports to the client.
  • Assist in recruitment of employees in conjunction with the Corporate Security Manager.
  • Conduct disciplinary and sickness investigations.
  • Oversee staff appraisals, set objectives, support development, and create succession plans.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and external partners.
  • Act as Duty Manager when the Operations Manager is absent.

Key Requirements

  • Full driving licence.
  • Front‑line SIA licence.
  • At least 2 years of security industry experience (preferable).
  • Financial awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem‑solving ability.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience.
  • Good IT and systems knowledge.
