The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for ensuring the stability, resilience, and performance of the organization’s IT infrastructure across data centres, networks, and cloud environments. This role oversees day-to-day operations, incident management, and lifecycle processes for critical infrastructure services, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining service availability, optimizing infrastructure performance, and driving operational excellence in alignment with business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of core infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms. Ensure systems are patched, monitored, and compliant with ITIL and security standards
- Lead incident management for critical services, ensuring rapid restoration of services during outages. Maintain and update playbooks for operational continuity
- Monitor infrastructure performance and forecast capacity requirements. Develop strategies for scaling and optimizing resources to meet business growth
- Manage relationships with infrastructure service providers, ensuring SLAs are met and contracts align with operational needs
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR) and internal security policies. Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure assets
- Lead and mentor the infrastructure operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Coordinate on‑call schedules and escalation processes
- Own infrastructure risk registers and change management processes, ensuring CAB approvals and disaster recovery plans are up to date and tested annually
- Deliver projects and programmes to improve the technology of the business
- Develop backlogs, roadmaps, and strategies for the technology within Infrastructure
- Perform reactive root‑cause analysis & pro‑active trending to reduce further incidents within the scope of the team
- Ensure the data is accurate for the technology in core systems of record (e.g. Register of Technology and Services, ITSM tool, CMDB)
- Provide and structure the correct level of support for the technology in scope (e.g. 24×7, on‑call etc.)
- Act as an escalation point for any service issues within the scope of the team
- Stay abreast of industry and technology trends as well as emerging tools and techniques relevant to the role
- You must be willing to travel to Escode office locations globally and stay away from home on occasionally.

- Excellent relationship management; identify important stakeholders and work with teams to build these relationships
- User focus; awareness or understanding of user experience and its principles
- Familiarity with ISO27001, Cyber Essentials+, and GDPR requirements
- Experience in risk management and audit processes
- Project management experience with Agile or ITIL frame
