Overview

Manage a portfolio of ecology contracts for a range of clients, primarily electricity supply and maintenance/infrastructure projects in the South and/or East of England. The role is permanent, flexible, and can be worked from home or linked to an ADAS office.

Responsibilities

  • Quote and tenders in association with existing contracts and new opportunities.
  • Budget management, working with finance for invoicing.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits for ecological surveys where required.
  • Communicate with clients and provide solid technical advice.
  • Collaborate with ecologists to ensure quality projects are delivered on time.
  • Write technical reports including preliminary ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, mitigation strategies and biodiversity management plans.
  • Conduct technical reviews of reports.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Graduate level education in a relevant subject.
  • Project management experience and a proven background in contract management.
  • Associate Level CIEEM membership or above.
  • In‑depth knowledge of ecology, legislation and survey techniques, including Natural England Licensing.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate technical reports.
  • Pro‑active attitude to managing time, finding solutions and ensuring work is delivered on schedule and to required standards.
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • One protected species licence (Great Crested Newt, Hazel Dormouse or bats) desirable.
  • Project management qualification desirable.

Salary

£32,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
