Main duties of the job
Provide senior scrub experience to the day‑to‑day running of the ophthalmic theatre to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient flow of the theatre pathway. The post holder will provide excellent care to all patients, with specific responsibility for theatres and the patient flow through the department, in line with departmental policies, practice standards, regulation and governance to provide high quality, cost effective care that puts the patient first at all times. There is an on‑call commitment associated with this role.

Qualifications
- Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
- Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
- Previous experience in theatre, minimum of five years
- Proven track record of mentoring theatre team nurses, Operating Department Practitioners (ODP) and support workers (HCTs)
£41,400 to £49,680 a year. Pension, 33 days annual leave, Private Healthcare, Free laser eye.
