Nursery Team Leader
Childbase Partnership – Maples Day Nursery, Winchester, SO22 6RT. Permanent, 37.5–40 hours/week. Salary £33,150–£36,837 per annum (pro‑rata).
Role
- Lead the nursery team for 3‑5 year olds, ensuring high quality early years provision.
- Plan, implement and evaluate learning activities that promote play‑based learning.
- Act as the Key Person for children, observing, assessing and recording progress against the EYFS.
- Safeguard children by ensuring their wellbeing is promoted and safety is maintained.
- Communicate and partner with staff, parents and external agencies to achieve best outcomes.
- Empower and support the team to deliver outstanding care and to reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Experience
- DFE‑approved early years qualification at level 3 or above.
- At least a couple of years’ experience working in an early years environment.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and experience of planning and implementing engaging activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Leadership ability to motivate and support a team.

- Contract: Permanent, 37.5–40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year.
- Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday–Friday between 07:30–18:30.
