Senior Events Manager

Senior Events Manager – adviser focused events, responsible for strategy, planning and end‑to‑end delivery of events that support commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the adviser events strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Plan and manage an annual schedule of events, including technical and regulatory webinars, best‑practice sessions and face‑to‑face adviser roadshows.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of all events, from concept and content development to live delivery and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Act as the primary owner and subject‑matter expert for event platforms and suppliers, including BrightTALK and Cvent.
  • Work closely with Distribution and Technical to shape relevant adviser‑centric content, and with Compliance and Risk to ensure regulatory and governance compliance.
  • Manage external suppliers, venues, and production partners, ensuring high‑quality delivery and value for money.
  • Own the events budget, forecast costs and manage spend effectively.
  • Define and track success measures for events, using data and adviser feedback to continuously improve content, format, and performance.
  • Provide clear reporting and insight to stakeholders on engagement, outcomes, and learnings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering events within financial services, ideally in platform settings.
  • Proven experience delivering both webinars and face‑to‑face events at scale.
  • Proficient in event technology with hands‑on experience of using BrightTALK and Cvent.
  • Experience using Salesforce and Marketing Cloud desirable.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and highly organised approach.
  • Good understanding of the UK financial adviser market and the requirements of a regulated environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support events and travel as required.
