Location: Hatton, near Arbroath, Scotland, DD11 2PJ (First Rotation)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Programme Duration: 2‑year programme starting September 2026

Graduate Programme
Our comprehensive Graduate Programme offers hands‑on experience working on strategic projects while developing essential personal and professional skills. You will receive expert training from Veolia’s People Development team through monthly sessions at our North sites and the Cannock office (travel required). You will join a supportive graduate network and benefit from mentorship throughout your journey.
NOTE: This is a rotational role. You will be expected to rotate across different sites and locations in Scotland.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate with the project team to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Provide support to construction and operations teams on current projects
- Develop, prepare and maintain construction documentation and project plans
- Identify and assess project risks and create mitigation strategies
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform technical analysis and system performance evaluations to ensure optimal operational efficiency
- Assist with day‑to‑day operational activities and provide project support as needed
- Contribute to organisational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Degree‑level qualification in Environmental or Engineering (to be achieved by September 2026)
- Willingness to travel to training locations and relocate up to three times across Scotland during the programme
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
- Excellent problem‑solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, creative and solution‑oriented mindset
- Driving licence (or willingness to obtain one)
