Overview

We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Development Consultant to work alongside our Field Sales Consultants and help unlock growth in high‑potential territories. This role is about identifying opportunity, opening doors, and building the foundations for long‑term success. You’ll take a broader, more strategic view of the territory – analysing potential, engaging key prospects, and helping shape how we expand our presence in targeted areas. If you enjoy spotting gaps in the market, developing new routes to growth, and working collaboratively to turn opportunity into results, this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high‑opportunity customers and growth areas
  • Research and target new business opportunities
  • Build early‑stage relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers
  • Open new accounts and create a strong pipeline of future business
  • Work closely with Field Sales Consultants to develop the territory
  • Support territory planning and help define go‑to‑market strategies
  • Represent the business professionally and confidently when engaging new prospects
  • Provide excellent service, including after‑sale follow‑up, to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience

  • A proactive, self‑motivated individual with a strong commercial mindset
  • Experience in business development, territory expansion, or new‑market growth
  • Confidence engaging new prospects and opening conversations at all levels
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
  • The ability to identify opportunity and convert interest into tangible results
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with wider sales teams
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise opportunities
  • B2B sales environment (training provided)
  • Competent with CRM systems and sales reporting tools

Compensation and Benefits

Full, clean UK driving licence.£24,000 basic salary with minimum guaranteed earnings of £27,300 per annum and OTE of approximately £35,000.Uncapped commission linked to new business development.Company car, tablet, and mobile phone.Structured onboarding and ongoing training.Clear progression opportunities within a growing sales organisation.Monday‑Friday working pattern.23 days holiday (rising with length of service).Pension and healthcare plan.Access to additional rewards, incentives, and recognition schemes.
