Senior Planning Officer – Planning Policy Team
Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking to recruit a Senior Planning Officer within the Planning Policy Team on a permanent basis.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing the Local Plan and lead on complex, strategic development site allocations within the Planning Policy Team. The role offers an opportunity to work in a high‑performing team and develop your career in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop the Local Plan, including leading on complex strategic development site allocations.
- Work on a range of planning policy work and contribute to plan‑making and other projects.
- Deliver policy related elements of the role profile within the Development Management framework.
Qualifications
- Highly capable, proactive and qualified planner with strong planning policy knowledge and skills.
- Experience taking a lead role in a range of planning policy work.
- Able to work effectively on own initiative and within a positive team environment.
