The Opportunity

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a responsive, professional and values-led HR service across the organisation. Working closely with managers and colleagues, you will provide practical advice and support on a broad range of people matters while helping to ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently, consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers, employees and volunteers
  • Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, performance, conduct, grievance, probation and flexible working cases
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and workforce compliance activities
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting reporting and audit requirements
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and values-driven culture
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the People Services function

You will ideally have:

  • CIPD qualification (or be working towards one) or equivalent HR experience
  • Experience providing HR advice and support to managers and employees
  • A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience supporting employee relations casework
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A professional, collaborative and compassionate approach
