Day Care Support Worker

ob: Band 3 Support Worker Location: Ardaveen Manor, Bessbrook (supported living service) Employer: MPA Recruitment working with the local Health & Social Care Trust Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rota Monday-Sunday – 8am-8.15pm

Main Role: Supporting people in supported living accommodation to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Typical duties:

• Help tenants with personal care and daily living tasks
• Support with household tasks, bills, and tenancy responsibilities
• Encourage independence and social inclusion
• Attend tenant meetings and support decision-making
• Support health needs and medical appointments
• Report safeguarding concerns
• Work with senior support workers and management

Qualifications needed (one of these):

• Level 2 Health & Social Care + 6 months care experience
• OR 4 GCSEs (including English) + 6 months care experience
• OR 2 years paid care experience

Other requirements:

• Willing to complete Level 3 Health & Social Care within 1 year
• Register with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (with disability exceptions)
