Your new role
As Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop, leading a team of approximately 20. You will be tasked with ensuring production targets are consistently met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.A key focus of this role will be supporting the business in the implementation and optimisation of a new MRP system, helping to streamline production planning, improve visibility, and enhance overall operational performance.Key responsibilities:
Managing and coordinating daily production activities across the workshopLeading, motivating, and developing a team of 20+ peopleEnsuring production schedules are delivered on time and in line with customer expectationsSupporting the implementation, integration, and ongoing development of an MRP systemWorking closely with planning, engineering, and senior management to improve workflow and efficienciesDeveloping and maintaining SOPs, risk assessments, and safe systems of workMonitoring and reporting on KPIs including quality, delivery, and labour efficiencyDriving continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of productionEnsuring high quality standards are maintained, implementing corrective actions where requiredMaintaining full compliance with health & safety regulations
What you’ll need to succeed
Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environmentExperience or exposure to MRP/ERP system implementation or optimisationDemonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of 20+ staffStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent leadership, organisational, and communication skillsA proactive approach to continuous improvementSolid understanding of health & safety in a production setting
