Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Depending on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing company. This role is focused on ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through a combination of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on production and converting machinery
*Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and perform effective fault diagnosis to minimise downtime
*Complete planned preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures
*Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
*Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe systems of work, including the use of appropriate PPE
*Support machine upgrades, equipment improvements, and engineering projects
*Manage maintenance stores inventory and maintain minimum stock levels through company systems
*Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational performance
Requirements
*Completed an Electrical Apprenticeship with an ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
*Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience within a manufacturing or multi-batch production environment
*Multi-skilled maintenance experience with a strong electrical bias
*Proven knowledge of COSHH and relevant Health & Safety regulations
*Strong fault-finding, analytical, and problem-solving skills
*Experience working on production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
