Colonnade Bar Staff
This role is based at The Colonnade Bar and will report directly to the pub manager. You will work closely with the pub supervisors operationally on shifts to creating the best environment for all our guests. The Colonnade also is supported by a cellar team, working closely with all bar staff to make the day to day running as smooth as possible.
The Colonnade Bar is a Grade II listed building in the heart of the city. The Colonnade and the Theatre Royal are currently undergoing a huge restoration project, to restore the building and faade to its original condition. The faade is expected to be completed in March 2024, where the scaffolding will be removed, and the pub will regain its outside seating area. It is a local’s favourite, and requires people to be friendly, welcoming, and to help create a relaxed atmosphere in the pub.

Key responsibilities
- Greet and engage with guests, ensuring they feel genuinely valued and comfortable in the pub.
- Have great communication skills and be able to interact with customers both on an individual basis and with groups.
- Proactively suggest and sell products through an engaging and personable approach to customers.
- Maintain good bar procedures, by regular cleaning and checks.
- Work well as part of the team, to ensure that all tasks are completed.
- Have an awareness of licensing objectives, and health and safety in the pub.
- Set up and close of the pub, including cleaning the bar and restocking.
