Were on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Building Services Testing Officer to join our team. In this role, youll be the go-to person for checking and testing, PA Housings fire safety systems relating to communal equipment. From fire alarms to emergency lighting, youll make sure our homes and buildings are safe, compliant, and working exactly as they should.

This role will be primarily onsite and the area you will be covering is mainly South East London with a bit of South West and Croydon. So it’s essential you are comfortable driving a van round London.

What youll be doing

  • Carrying out regular testing and inspection of fire safety systems relating to communal equipment (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, AOVs, , lifts lines)
  • Recording outcomes on our asset management system (Keystone)
  • Reporting faults, malfunctions, or safety issues found during inspections
  • Raising urgent orders and repairs where required
  • Working with the wider Building Services team to improve consistency and share best practice
  • Highlighting any other concerns observed during site visits

What were looking for:

  • Good understanding of fire safety equipment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in communal buildings
  • Hands-on experience with testing fire alarms and detection systems
  • PA specific equipment training will be provided
