This position offers the opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary projects across all stages of the project lifecycle, from early client consultancy and feasibility studies through to full turn-key solutions and project delivery.As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across our nuclear project portfolio, supporting a range of public and private sector clients both in the UK and overseas. You will be responsible for guiding design delivery, providing strategic direction across projects and programmes, and ensuring engineering excellence in line with AECOM’s standards for quality, safety, and environmental care. Your role will also include client engagement, supporting the development of bids and proposals, and influencing project outcomes through strong technical and commercial awareness.We are looking for individuals who can apply their expertise independently and provide leadership within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes for our clients. You will bring strong professional engineering judgement, specialist civil engineering knowledge, and experience working within regulated and quality-assured environments, ideally within the nuclear sector, including new build and decommissioning projects.This is an exciting time for the Nuclear Team, with an expanding pipeline of high-profile and technically challenging projects across the UK and internationally.Here’s what you’ll do:Lead the delivery of Nuclear design work on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.Prepare, review, and provide technical assurance of detailed civil engineering designs.Provide strategic technical leadership across integrated multi-disciplinary teams delivering high-profile projects.Support client engagement, bid preparation, and the development of technical proposals.Oversee project delivery to ensure programme, quality, safety, and client expectations are achieved.Mentor and provide technical direction to Technicians, Graduates, and developing Engineers to support their professional and technical development.Come grow with us.Become part of our dynamic nuclear team, which boasts a team of leading and innovating industry experts.
