Overview
The German and Latymer School, a leading independent day school for girls in Hammersmith, London, seeks an experienced Network Manager to lead the school’s technical infrastructure. The Network Manager will work closely with the Director of Digital Strategy & IT, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, IT Support Engineers, and other colleagues to deliver robust, secure, and high‑performing IT services that support teaching, learning, and wider operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Own, develop, and manage the day‑to‑day operation of the school’s network and technical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT leadership team to plan and implement infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and high‑performing IT services that meet the needs of staff and pupils.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and end users.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong background in network management and infrastructure.
- Experience working in an educational or charitable setting is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT projects and support a diverse user base.
Expectations and Working Conditions
Office‑based role with working hours Monday to Thursday 8:00‑17:00 and Friday 8:00‑16:30 during term time; same hours during school holidays.
Regular interaction with pupils will occur; knowledge of child protection and safety protocols is required. All staff must pass child protection screening, including DBS checks and online profile reviews.
