Overview
Graphnet is one of the UK’s leading software providers of Shared Care and Health analytics solutions. As a “Cloud First” organisation, we are one of Microsoft’s largest UK healthcare data customers, leveraging a variety of Azure services across our suite of solutions. We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our QA team, responsible for validating complex end‑to‑end workflows on our Azure‑based healthcare platforms through a mix of manual, automated, and non‑functional testing practices.
You will join an experienced, cross‑dimensional team operating under a Scaled Agile framework, with access to industry‑leading tools and platforms.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of practical experience in automation‑oriented roles, working with .Net (C#), Playwright (Typescript), and K6 (JavaScript). Key responsibilities include coordinating, planning, and executing a variety of testing activities for our key Azure‑based projects.
Knowledge of Health Care systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
Essential Skills and Key Responsibilities
- Practical experience in back‑end automated testing using C# (minimum 5+ years’ experience).
- Hands‑on testing experience using MS Azure technologies (ETL, Microservices, Messaging and Service Bus).
- Experience automating front‑end applications with Typescript/Playwright.
- Solid understanding of .Net with practical experience using .Net 8+, NUnit and IDEs such as Visual Studio or Rider.
- Proficient with case management tools like JIRA and Confluence, including plugins such as XRay for test case management.
- Able to query using SQL and understand relational databases.
- Proficiency in handling structured data such as JSON and CSV.
- Experience designing, implementing, and executing non‑functional tests (load, volume, stress, scalability, and DR tests) using K6 or equivalent tools.
- Experience integrating QA into CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Experience designing and managing automated and synthetic test data.
- Strong exploratory, integration, and end‑to‑end manual testing skills.
- Strong defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to AI‑assisted development and testing practices, including modern AI tooling to support automation, quality engineering, and productivity workflows.
- Proficiency in handling structured healthcare data using FHIR and/or HL7.
- Experience identifying performance bottlenecks and recommending performance optimisations for automated tests.
Professional Qualifications
- ISEB/ISTQB qualification.
- Computing/IT related bachelor’s degree (desirable).
- AZ‑900 (desirable) or equivalent cloud‑based certification.
