We’re looking for an experienced Mainframe Middleware Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise across CICS, z/OS and IBM WebSphere Liberty to support a major enterprise transformation programme. This role focuses on the engineering, configuration, optimisation and support of modern Java workloads running within CICS Liberty environments.
Key Skills & Experience: Deep knowledge of CICS systems engineering and z/OS infrastructure CICS region setup, configuration and JVM server management IBM WebSphere Liberty administration and runtime configuration Java workload management, JVM tuning and performance optimisation RACF, TLS, certificates, keyrings and security integration REST/API enablement and modern integration practices Problem determination using dumps, traces, logs and SMF data Capacity planning, resilience, HA/DR and operational support Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and release processes Monitoring, observability and middleware operational management
