Technical Architect

Salary: £125,000 – 150,000 per year

Requirements

• Active SC and NPPV3 clearance.
• Strong expertise in virtualisation technologies such as Hyper‑V and VMware.
• Experience with Microsoft O365 and Azure Cloud Services.
• Demonstrable expertise in storage solutions design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Active Directory.
• Proven experience producing solution designs and low‑level technical documentation.
• Strong technical planning, analysis, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience delivering infrastructure implementations end‑to‑end.
• Professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design and implement a replacement storage solution.
• Expand backup scope to include additional platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
• Lead the design and implementation of a VMware replacement solution.
• Gather technical requirements, analyse existing environments, and produce high‑quality solution designs.
• Lead technical planning and manage infrastructure change across complex systems.
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide hands‑on support during implementation phases, including onsite presence when required.
