Job Description:

Senior Architect / Architectural Technologist

Residential & Mixed-Use Projects | London | Hybrid Working

My client is an award-winning AJ100 architectural and town planning practice with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable projects across the residential, mixed‑use, education, commercial, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.

They are currently seeking a Senior Architect or Architectural Technologist to join their London studio and play a key role in the technical delivery of medium to large‑scale residential and mixed‑use schemes.

The Role

You will lead projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards, coordinating technical information and collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver high‑quality, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 4–6
  • Prepare and coordinate detailed drawing packages and technical information
  • Coordinate with consultants and wider project teams
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC/LABC Guidance, and housing standards
  • Lead project teams and maintain strong client and contractor relationships

Requirements

  • Qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist (ACIAT desirable)
  • Strong experience delivering residential and mixed‑use projects
  • Proven technical experience on medium to large‑scale schemes (£5m+ desirable)
  • Strong Revit proficiency essential
  • Excellent AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong technical detailing and knowledge of current Building Regulations and construction methods
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Regular social events and European study trips
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity pay
  • Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support
  • Ongoing CPD, mentoring, and career development opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward‑thinking practice delivering high-quality projects across the UK.

Where we indicate a band of PQE for a role, this indicates how long we would expect an architectural professional to take to reach the level of experience required in an appropriate context. It does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE who can demonstrate that they have acquired the relevant experience.
