Role Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will take ownership of projects from feasibility through to completion, supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of building services projects.
• Produce detailed HVAC, public health and sustainable building services designs.
• Carry out calculations using industry‑standard software.
• Prepare specifications, reports and technical documentation.
• Attend client and design team meetings.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and wider project teams.
• Manage project delivery, budgets and programme deadlines.
• Mentor Graduate and Intermediate Engineers.
• Support Associates and Directors with project delivery and client relationships.
• Assist with technical reviews and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience within a UK Building Services Consultancy.
• Strong HVAC and mechanical building services design experience.
• Good understanding of current Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Chartered status (or working towards) would be advantageous.
