Business Analyst – City of Wolverhampton Council (Grade7, £44,075–£49,282, Full‑time, Permanent, 37 Hours, on‑site, Wolverhampton)
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the organisation, its aims, objectives and priorities, and the impact of major business change programmes on the organisation.
- Build productive relationships with business customers, meeting with all levels of business users to elicit requirements.
- Define and analyse existing KPIs and underlying processes to identify efficiencies, reduce waste and increase levels of STP.
- Map and document business processes, capture system dependencies and interfaces, identify risks and define appropriate controls.
- Prepare procedures documentation to support key business processes, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly set out.
- Prepare systems and data maps to optimise data capture, storage and flows, maintaining overall data integrity.
About you
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Analyst with a strong background in regulatory or financial services. You should be skilled in process mapping, stakeholder engagement and driving operational improvements through data, systems and process analysis. Delivery‑focused, collaborative and able to work independently, you will support and lead projects aligned with our transformation goals.
