Hotel Services Manager

The Hotel Services Manager will lead and manage the house‑keeping, catering, laundry, and activity teams to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

The candidate will share our core values of Truth, Love, and Compassion and work in partnership with the Support Office Leadership Team and the Home Leadership Team to enhance the lives of our residents. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a multidisciplinary team that delivers wellbeing and activity services, catering, house‑keeping, and laundry services.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of service, hygiene, and safety across all hotel and service operations.
  • Planning, budgeting, and controlling finances, including cost targets and financial reports.
  • Motivating staff, fostering teamwork, and supporting professional development.
  • Maintaining a professional and clean appearance at all times.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and dementia care best practices.

Qualifications

  • Previous managerial experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Good understanding of house‑keeping and general maintenance duties.
  • Previous knowledge of the management of a kitchen.
  • Experience in dealing with finance, budgets and targets.
  • Proven track record of leading, empowering, and supporting a team.
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal, non‑verbal).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Team player.
  • Highly organised.
  • Ability to motivate staff and ensure effective teamwork.
  • Professional neat appearance.
  • Satisfactory DBS check.

Desired but Not Essential

  • Experience in caring for the elderly.
  • Knowledge or experience of health and safety legislation.
  • Knowledge of dementia care.
  • Spoken Gujarati, Hindi, or other South Asian language.
