Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver SDN architectures using Cisco ACI and VMware NSX‑T
• Configure and manage network policies, segmentation, and connectivity rules
• Integrate and optimise hybrid environments across on‑prem and cloud platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across virtual and physical layers
• Secure and enforce network controls, including micro‑segmentation and access policies
• Collaborate and align with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams
• Monitor and improve network performance using advanced analytics and tooling

Qualifications

• Strong experience in SDN with proven expertise in Cisco ACI and VMware NSX‑T
• Deep understanding of SDN principles, VXLAN and overlay/underlay architectures
• Experience with hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer2‑7 networking
• Familiarity with network security, segmentation and Zero Trust principles
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform (advantageous)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, VCP‑NV) desirable
• Eligibility to hold UK Security Clearance or willing to undergo clearance

Location

On‑site, near Gloucester –5 days a week.
