Job Overview

Based primarily at our Gloucester site, you will be the primary IT support presence for our UK operations, working closely with the Business Systems Manager to support users, systems, and infrastructure across Gloucester, Bristol, and Swindon. This varied, hands‑on role combines day‑to‑day technical support with wider IT operations, project work, and user enablement, providing significant autonomy in managing local IT support and contributing to infrastructure improvements and security initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across hardware, software, devices, and connectivity issues for users across multiple UK sites.
  • Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other end‑user technology.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user account management, permissions, and access control.
  • Manage Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune, including device provisioning, application deployment, security policies, and lifecycle management.
  • Log, prioritise, and resolve support tickets, escalating where appropriate and ensuring excellent customer service throughout.
  • Support employee onboarding and off‑boarding processes, ensuring users have the right equipment, software, and system access from day one.
  • Carry out routine system maintenance and assist with basic server, network, and infrastructure support activities.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset records, and support procedures.
  • Travel between our Gloucester, Bristol, and Swindon sites to provide hands‑on IT support when required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an IT Support Engineer, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar 1st/2nd line support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Hands‑on experience managing devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, networking, and end‑user devices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non‑technical users.
  • Well organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between company sites.
