Overview

As a Peripatetic Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead at Barchester, you will travel across your region to manage and develop teams in various care homes, delivering high‑quality care and service. You will work closely with the General Manager to implement action plans that meet residents’ needs, leading by example, conducting regular audits, supervising clinical practice, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the region to manage and develop multidisciplinary teams in care homes.
• Implement action plans and ensure residents’ needs are met.
• Take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, including managing care standards and motivating staff.
• Lead audits, supervise clinical practice, and monitor regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver strategies to achieve high care standards.

About You

• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
• Teaching, mentoring or supervisory qualification.
• Previous experience in nursing home settings and continual professional development.
• Track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
• Some HR experience and knowledge of sales and marketing.
• Understanding of budget management and experience supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
• Compassionate, resilient, and determined to deliver quality care.
• Flexible and willing to travel.
