About the Role

We are seeking passionate and skilled Practitioners to join our Family Help Teams as we move towards the implementation of our Families First model. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of transforming services in line with our new model, delivering integrated support across Early Help and Child in Need (CIN) to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

You will work directly with families, providing timely, strengths-based interventions and leading Child in Need plans alongside Family Help support, ensuring a coordinated and seamless approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct, relationship-based interventions to children, young people, and families.
  • Lead and coordinate Child in Need (CIN) plans alongside Family Help work.
  • Undertake high-quality assessments and develop outcome-focused plans.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-agency team to coordinate support.
  • Promote family-led decision-making, empowering families to build on their strengths.
  • Ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and intervention.
  • Monitor progress and adapt to ensure timely and effective outcomes.

About You

We are looking for practitioners who:

  • Have experience working within Early Help, Strengthening Families, or Child in Need services.
  • Are skilled in engaging families and building strong, trusting relationships.
  • Can deliver high-quality, strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.
  • Are confident in assessment, planning, and multi-agency working.
  • Are committed to improving outcomes and reducing the need for statutory intervention.
