About the Role

As a Quality Engineer at Pressure Tech you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the high standards our customers expect. Working across the business you will promote a culture of quality by championing right first time principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce waste. You will apply sound engineering practices to ensure the reliability, performance and safety of our products, while leading investigations into non-conformance reports (NCRs), identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Your work will help ensure we continue to deliver high‑quality pressure regulation solutions with confidence and consistency.

Duties Include

  • Work with the Quality Manager to ensure the Quality Management System and supporting processes are being followed.
  • Update QMS with improvements accordingly.
  • Carry out internal and external quality audits as part of the team or individually based on ISO9001:2015 requirements.
  • Manage customer quality issues. Understand customer requirements and focus on satisfying these requirements.
  • Work with Service Engineers and customers to confirm findings on products returned for servicing.
  • Proactively recommend solutions that will improve product durability and performance based on findings from serviced products.
  • Monitor the entire production cycle and report on areas for improvement.
  • Inspect supplied products from internal and external suppliers against drawings and specifications.
  • Manage inspection tools and gauge calibration process.
  • Report KPIs, including capacity utilisation and productivity, on a monthly basis and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Contribute to the Company’s continuous improvement and quality culture by looking for and recommending process improvements. Resolve all NCRs within required timescales and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies for employees are being followed and recommend areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
