Key Responsibilities

• Support the design of mechanical systems and equipment for clean and wastewater treatment and non – infrastructure assets
• Produce and check mechanical design calculations, specifications, schedules, and drawings
• Assist with equipment selection, data sheets, and technical evaluations
• Coo rdinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, CDM regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Support site activities, including inspections, commissioning, and fault investigations where required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1 to 4 years experience in Mechanical engineering design, preferably within the water or wastewater industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Understanding of mechanical systems such as pumps, pipework, valves, rotating equipment, and associated materials.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, such as CDM regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with problem – solving abilities and attention to detail
