Mechanical Engineer – Precision Engineering
Location: Taunton (On-site)
What you will be doing:
- Design and develop precision mechanical components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, tolerance stacks, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and quality requirements.
- Lead validation activities, from test planning to data analysis and interpretation.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to improve process capability and product performance.
- Drive root cause analysis on complex issues across prototype and production stages.
- Contribute to design reviews, providing clear and practical engineering recommendations.
What you will bring:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong experience with precision design, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience working in a precision manufacturing or high‑complexity production environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capability.
- Hands‑on approach and the ability to collaborate across functions.
