Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer – Precision Engineering

Location: Taunton (On-site)

What you will be doing:

  • Design and develop precision mechanical components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, tolerance stacks, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and quality requirements.
  • Lead validation activities, from test planning to data analysis and interpretation.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to improve process capability and product performance.
  • Drive root cause analysis on complex issues across prototype and production stages.
  • Contribute to design reviews, providing clear and practical engineering recommendations.

What you will bring:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience with precision design, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing or high‑complexity production environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capability.
  • Hands‑on approach and the ability to collaborate across functions.
