Salary and Hours
Salary: £39,300 – £44,300, dependent on experience. Performance bonus and exceptional benefits included. Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm.

Role Overview
Drive a reduction in repair times through effective problem solving and strong technical skills. Provide technical facilitation, training and leadership to deliver solutions that reduce downtime, waste, quality issues and safety risks.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance automated electromechanical systems, including refrigeration, meat processing equipment, conveyors and fluid systems.
- Diagnose breakdowns and ensure timely resolution, reducing downtime to boost productivity.
- Lead by example and serve as a technical coach for the team.
- Drive small‑scale improvements, contributing to continuous innovation and efficiency.
- Participate in risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety standards (ISO 14000, PTW, Hot Work, etc.).
- Act as a bridge between operations and technical teams, ensuring clear communication.
- Help develop talent through training and coaching.
Qualifications
- Minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or a related field, backed by practical experience.
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments; ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex mechanical systems.
- Proven problem‑solving skills; expertise in root‑cause analysis and fault finding.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PI Process Book and SAP Planned Maintenance.
- Leadership and teamwork skills; ability to coach and inspire others.
