Job Description:

Mark+Fold Operations + Merchandising Manager

Deadline for applications midday Tuesday 14th July 2026.

Mark+Fold is a modern British stationery brand, founded in 2015 to raise the bar on quality and sustainability. We design and manufacture our own stationery products, working closely with specialist suppliers in the UK and Europe. Our customers are connoisseurs who appreciate our attention to detail and value the friendly, efficient service we provide. Our mission is to help them get in the zone so they can make amazing things happen.

Why this role is important to Mark+Fold

This is an opportunity to join the team during an exciting period of growth, to help build on the systems we have in place and adapt them as we grow. As Operations and Merchandising Manager, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business, from managing inventory and website listings, to looking after customers and ensuring a seamless service with our fulfilment team. You will play a crucial role in our commercial growth, developing merchandising initiatives that balance sales performance with brand integrity.

This is fractional role (3 days per week), working remotely with one weekly meeting in London.

Once here, you will

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across inventory, fulfilment, customer experience and cashflow.
  • Own inventory management, forecasting and replenishment planning, to ensure restocks are planned in good time, and stock shelf-life kept to a minimum.
  • Take a lead on merchandising plans that balance commercial performance with brand integrity. Analyse sales and product performance to inform buying, range planning and pricing decisions.
  • Manage the e-commerce platform, ensuring listings are accurate and optimised for performance (conversion, AOV, retention).
  • Manage relationships with customers and fulfilment team, ensuring any issues are resolved efficiently, whilst building systems to simplify and streamline this process as we grow.
  • Support the Founder in managing cashflow, forecasting and growth initiatives.

Who you are

  • You’re happy working in a creative start-up environment (lots of flexibility and independence, but also responsibility).
  • You have excellent organisational and project management skills, with a great eye for detail.
  • You’re comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • You are able to meet in Central / North London at least once per week.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to play a pivotal role in a small business during an exciting period of growth.
  • Fractional role of 3 days per week, which can be worked as full days or spread over 5 days (NB: Most of the current team work fractionally and flexibly, to fit around childcare, personal projects or other work).
  • Independence to work remotely, or alongside other team members in London, with one weekly in-person session with the Founder in Central / North London.
  • Competitive pro-rata salary, based on experience.
  • Generous stationery allowance and friends + family discounts.
  • Possibility to earn equity after 6+ months working in the business.
