Digital Portfolio Office Administrator

We are looking for a motivated and organised Portfolio Office Administrator to join the Digital Services Team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The successful candidate will deliver change initiatives, service improvements and defined projects across our portfolio of work, supporting the achievement of the MFT Digital Strategy and wider organisational strategies.
Job responsibilities
- Support the transformation of services through the utilisation of technology in line with trust‑wide business requirements.
- Deliver change initiatives, service improvements and defined projects across the portfolio.
- Coordinate and administer governance meetings and produce formal reports or papers.
- Manage financial processes for ordering and receipting.
- Work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, providing strong verbal, presentation and written communication.
- Maintain advanced IT skills and a working knowledge of digital change initiatives.
- Use and adapt MS Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, MS Teams) as required.
Qualifications
- Higher National Certificate / Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
Essential experience and knowledge
- Demonstrable evidence of working within a complex organisational environment involving project, programme, portfolio or business support work.
- Experience of problem solving and quickly implementing solutions.
- Experience in financial processes for ordering and receipting.
- Knowledge and experience in coordinating and administering governance meetings and formal reports.
- Fully competent in the use of MS Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, MS Teams.
Desirable experience and knowledge
- Knowledge or experience in developing standard operating procedures to support business functions.
- Knowledge of NHS technology policy and regional priorities.
- Administrator experience in SharePoint.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, a DBS check will be required for this role. The type of check will be commensurate with the level of responsibility and the nature of the role. A cost recovery policy applies: if an applicant is successful and joins, the cost of a DBS application will be deducted from salary within the first three months of employment. If the applicant withdraws after the DBS process has started, the incurred cost remains payable.
Salary and Contract
£28,392 to £31,157 per annum, pro rata.
Contract: Permanent; Working pattern: Full‑time.
