Job Description:

Our client, a well-established company based in Corby, is looking for a Transport Administrator to join their busy transport team. This is an ongoing role with an immediate start and could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Shifts and Pay

Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Planning and scheduling tanker deliveries and collections.
  • Coordinating with drivers regarding routes, delivery schedules, and operational changes.
  • Updating transport management systems with orders and delivery information.
  • Monitoring driver hours and ensuring compliance with transport regulations, including Working Time Directive and tachograph requirements.
  • Maintaining transport records, vehicle documentation, and compliance paperwork.
  • Producing reports on fleet performance, deliveries, and operational KPIs.
  • Liaising with customers, depots, and internal teams to resolve delivery issues.
  • Assisting with route optimisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Handling transport-related administration, data entry, and filing.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
  • IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Previous transport or logistics administration experience is desirable.
