Residential Children’s Home Deputy Manager – Salisbury
Internal opportunity as a Deputy Manager role within our Children’s Home and continue making a lasting difference to children’s lives every day.
Our children have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a range of developmental trauma. In this role you’ll support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home and help develop and coach the team.
Using our Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) model, you will help lead a culture where children are respected, heard and involved in their own lives. You’ll bring strong therapeutic parenting practice and a commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes.

What we offer you (internal progression): Our leadership team will invest in your development through high‑quality training and regular conversations about your career goals—supporting you to build confidence in management and strengthen your leadership toolkit.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a Children’s Residential Setting
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- If not already achieved, willingness to work towards Level 5 Leadership & Management
- A proven track record with Ofsted, and strong understanding of the legislative framework and SCCIF
- Confident coaching others, leading shifts and maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding
- Driving licence: Due to the location of the home, a full driving licence is essential.
Sleep‑ins: The role includes overnight stays in the home. You will typically complete 2–3 sleep‑ins per week. You will receive an additional £50 per sleep‑in.
Hours: On average, 39 hours per week on a rota base. Some flexibility is needed to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Role split: Approximately 80% of your time will be on rota and 20% will be protected for administrative/leadership duties.
