Job Overview
Our client is the UK’s premier high‑street retailer. As a Store Detective you will operate across their network of stores and use your observation skills to help prevent the theft of stock. Your role is vital in the identification, apprehension and prosecution of criminals who target the business.
Main Duties
- Observe, deter and arrest those taking part in criminal activity in line with the Theft Act.
- Follow the ASCONE process.
- Work with SOC CCTV operators to identify and stop offenders.
- Liaise with police forces and other crime‑prevention partners to keep up to date with crime trends.
- Build a local network to identify and disrupt crime.
- Report incidents accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Occasionally attend court to provide evidence.
What We Are Looking For

- Experience in a customer‑facing role with strong customer service background.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal); GCSE or equivalent in English preferred.

- Positive, outgoing personality looking to be part of a strong, established team.
- Essential: SIA licence; store detective experience highly desirable.

- Confidence to challenge people when necessary.
