Duty Manager – Askern leisure centre

Job Summary

Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT) has undergone a review of its leisure management team, which has resulted in several internal promotions. There are now vacancies for Duty Managers at Askern Leisure Centre (Full‑time, 37 hours per week). The role involves maintaining supervision of leisure facilities, communicating with centre users and colleagues, and ensuring a customer‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good supervision of leisure facilities and staff.
• Communicate effectively with centre users and colleagues.
• Prepare activities for customers and perform cleaning duties.
• Oversee staff management and rota planning.
• Control security of staff and customers.
• Handle financial reconciliation and reporting.
• Operate plant systems to ensure effective, efficient, and safe operation.
• Work patterns include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience as a team leader, supervisor, or in a similar management role.
• Up-to-date pool lifeguard qualification.
• Current pool plant operators’ qualification.
• Completion of ongoing training and competency assessment.
