Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated clinician to lead the Sedgemoor MSK community Physiotherapy Hub as a Band 7 MSK Hub Lead. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with strong, demonstrable leadership, providing day‑to‑day operational management of the service while supporting the delivery of high‑quality patient care.

You will lead, inspire and develop the physiotherapy team, fostering a positive, open and learning culture while ensuring effective service delivery within a busy and evolving environment. You will work closely with the wider cMSK leadership team and other Hub Leads across the Trust to ensure consistency, innovation and continuous improvement across the service.

Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a clinical caseload and provide advanced specialist advice, supporting clinical decision‑making and workforce development. You will play a key role in service development, pathway improvement and ensuring the team meets national standards and local priorities.

This role requires a confident, visible leader with excellent communication, decision‑making and people management skills, who can drive change, support colleagues and deliver high‑quality outcomes for patients across the Hub.

Main duties of the job

You will take responsibility for the operational delivery of MSK Physiotherapy services within the Sedgemoor Hub, ensuring effective coordination of staffing, clinic capacity and day‑to‑day service performance. This will include oversight of workload allocation, supporting department leads to manage demand and addressing any issues impacting access, flow or quality of care.

A key part of the role will be working with the wider cMSK leadership team to implement service priorities, standardise ways of working and ensure alignment with Trust objectives. You will contribute to workforce planning, support recruitment and retention, and ensure colleagues have clear objectives and development plans in place.

You will be accountable for maintaining high clinical standards across the Hub, providing specialist input into complex cases and supporting consistent decision‑making across the team. You will also lead on aspects of clinical governance, including monitoring performance, responding to incidents and complaints, and contributing to audit, quality improvement and service evaluation activity.

You will actively support the implementation of change initiatives, embedding new pathways and ensuring staff are engaged and supported through service developments.
