The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager you will undertake a 12‑month development programme to gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, service and leadership standards, preparing you for future Store Manager roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and optimizing KPI performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Provide VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with product updates.
- Sell the story, not the discount, by sharing passion for the product through tastings and a commercial tasting counter.
- Maintain wine knowledge and pursue WSET qualification.
- Maintain store appearance and standards internally and externally.
- Participate in all operational tasks and understand day‑to‑day operations.
- Identify improvement opportunities to optimize store operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal and internal policies, completing mandatory training.
- Own your own development using available resources.
- Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer experience and service.
- Prioritize and problem‑solve strategically under high pressure.
- Self‑motivated, able to thrive individually and as part of a team.
- Can‑do attitude and passion for solving problems.
- Adaptable and resilient to changing demands.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Bold wine knowledge and willingness to learn for WSET level 2 & 3 qualifications.
- Full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than six penalty points.
