The Role

As a Majestic Trainee Manager you will undertake a 12‑month development programme to gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, service and leadership standards, preparing you for future Store Manager roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and optimizing KPI performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Provide VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with product updates.
  • Sell the story, not the discount, by sharing passion for the product through tastings and a commercial tasting counter.
  • Maintain wine knowledge and pursue WSET qualification.
  • Maintain store appearance and standards internally and externally.
  • Participate in all operational tasks and understand day‑to‑day operations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to optimize store operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, legal and internal policies, completing mandatory training.
  • Own your own development using available resources.
  • Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven retail or hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer experience and service.
  • Prioritize and problem‑solve strategically under high pressure.
  • Self‑motivated, able to thrive individually and as part of a team.
  • Can‑do attitude and passion for solving problems.
  • Adaptable and resilient to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
  • Bold wine knowledge and willingness to learn for WSET level 2 & 3 qualifications.
  • Full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than six penalty points.
