Salary: £28,500 plus service charge. Holiday: 28 days, enhanced after 5 years of service. Role Summary

The Engineering Administrator will support the Chief and Deputy Chief Engineer to source suppliers and monitor their performance, and coordinate the Engineering team on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on administrative support to the Engineering department, including the Chief and Deputy Chief Engineer.
  • Receive and follow up on calls with suppliers, team members, and other departments.
  • Log, distribute, and update job records and daily activity logs (KnowCross).
  • Process vendor quotes, purchase orders, invoices, and match with delivery notes to prevent discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain office supply levels to avoid shortages.
  • Set up and maintain an efficient and cost‑effective filing system.
  • Update and file departmental records, including supplier insurance, liability documents, and utility readings.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and inspection schedules; assist with daily and monthly departmental meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory facility standards.
  • Maintain clean, tidy, and well‑organized work areas at all times.

  • Experience in a similar role within a 5‑star hotel is advantageous.
  • Plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills preferred.
