National Account Manager (Foodservice & Manufacturing)

Location: Remote (South of England preferred)

Salary: £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Are you an experienced National Account Manager with a passion for developing customer relationships and driving commercial growth within the FMCG sector?

We’re looking for a commercially minded National Account Manager to join a growing business, managing key Foodservice and Manufacturing accounts while identifying new opportunities to drive sales and profitability.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and delivering profitable growth across your account portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships, leading customer projects, negotiating commercial agreements, and working collaboratively across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of Foodservice and Manufacturing accounts.
  • Build strong customer relationships at multiple levels.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and trading agreements.
  • Manage customer P&L performance and deliver profitable growth.
  • Develop and implement annual account plans.
  • Forecast demand and manage customer sales plans.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, NPD, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Support and manage customer NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Deliver accurate account reporting and project management.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • At least 5 years’ National Account Management experience within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience managing Foodservice, Manufacturing, Wholesale, or Retail accounts.
  • A proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing customer P&Ls, pricing, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for identifying new business opportunities.
