Are you a resourceful hunter who loves finding the right people and starting conversations?

FirmBooks provides white-label bookkeeping, VAT returns and year-end accounts for UK accounting practices — all delivered under each practice’s own brand. We help practice owners handle overflow work without hiring, and we’re growing fast. We’re looking for a driven SDR to fuel that growth.

What you’ll do

You’ll own the top of our sales funnel from scratch. We don’t hand you a list of leads — you’ll find them. Your job is to research and identify UK accounting practices that fit our ideal customer, track down the right decision-maker, start conversations, build interest, and book qualified meetings into our closer’s diary.

  • Research and build your own prospect lists of UK accounting practices using LinkedIn, online directories, professional bodies and web research
  • Identify the right decision-maker (practice owner or partner) and find their contact details
  • Reach out via LinkedIn, email and phone to spark interest and start conversations
  • Qualify prospects against our ideal customer profile (small-to-mid UK accounting practices)
  • Book qualified discovery calls into the closer’s calendar and confirm attendance
  • Chase no-shows and follow up politely and persistently
  • Keep the CRM clean and up to date with every prospect and interaction
  • Hit weekly targets for prospects found, conversations started and meetings booked

About you

  • A resourceful self-starter who can find prospects and build lists from scratch — you don’t wait to be handed leads
  • 5 years experience selling for B2B
  • A confident, friendly communicator who enjoys starting conversations
  • Persistent and organised — you follow up without being told twice
  • Comfortable researching online and reaching out via LinkedIn, email and phone
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Good written English and professional tone
  • You don’t need accounting experience — we’ll teach you the product

Nice to have: Previous SDR, telesales, appointment-setting or lead-generation experience; experience with prospecting and list-building tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Lemlist or similar); CRM familiarity (HubSpot, Pipedrive); any exposure to B2B, professional services or the accounting world. Driving Licence.

What we offer

  • £45,000 base, depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission (£2,000-£3000 per month)
