About Us

Lead & Accelerate is a fast-growing bid management consultancy helping businesses across the UK win public sector contracts, frameworks and tenders. We work with clients across a wide range of industries — from security and fire safety through to construction, facilities management and technology — supporting them from onboarding through to final submission.

We are expanding and looking for the right person to grow with us.

About the Role

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to take their first or early steps into the world of bid writing and public sector procurement. You don’t need to be an expert — you need to be organised, a strong communicator, willing to learn and genuinely interested in developing a career in bid writing.

As our Bid Coordinator, you will support our bid writers and account management team across a range of tasks, helping to keep our submissions on track and our clients well supported. Over time, with the right attitude and commitment, this role has a clear and genuine pathway into a full bid writing position within the business.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting the bid writing team with the coordination and preparation of tender submissions
  • Tracking deadlines, portals and submission requirements across multiple clients
  • Researching tender opportunities and summarising requirements for the team
  • Assisting with gathering supporting documents, policies and evidence from clients
  • Uploading and managing documents on procurement portals
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records across our client tracker
  • Drafting and proofreading sections of bid responses under guidance from senior bid writers
  • Communicating professionally with clients to chase outstanding information
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new clients

What We Are Looking For

  • Some experience in an administrative, coordination or writing role — bid writing experience is a bonus but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • A genuine interest in public sector procurement, tendering or bid writing
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar tools
  • A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow within the business

What We Offer

  • £12.31 per hour
  • Flexible working — choose your own 3 days to suit your lifestyle outside of work
  • A genuine career pathway into a full bid writing role as the business grows
  • The opportunity to join a fast-growing consultancy at an exciting stage of its development
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Real responsibility and variety from day one
