BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Manchester (On-site, 5 days per week)

Creative, Digital & Marketing Sectors

Initial 3-Month Contract (with potential to extend)

Monthly Project Rate: Negotiable

Start: ASAP

My client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-paced business within the Creative, Digital and Marketing sectors. This role is focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities with leading B2C brands, building a strong pipeline of prospective clients, and driving revenue growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively generating and qualifying leads, carrying out targeted outreach, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and managing opportunities through the early stages of the sales cycle. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll help convert prospects into long-term clients while representing the business in a professional and consultative manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target and win new business opportunities within the Creative, Digital and Marketing sectors.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects through proactive outbound business development.
  • Generate leads through networking, research, cold outreach, referrals and other business development activities.
  • Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers across B2C brands.
  • Qualify opportunities and support the sales process through to handover or close.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM records.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure proposals and solutions align with client requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of winning new business within the Creative, Digital or Marketing sectors.
  • Experience selling to large B2C brands.
  • Strong outbound business development and lead generation experience.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work on-site in Manchester five days per week.
