This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join a market leading, truly global business who have a reputable and respected brand in every corner of the globe.
They are looking for 2 experienced Senior Category Managers, with extensive experience in either Soft or Hard FM spend areas, where main areas of focus will be managing large value and complex projects. To be a suitable candidate for one of these roles, your strength must be stakeholder management and being able to win over the trust of stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers and have the right approach for more junior people in the team to look up to.
The group function is going through an exiting transformation, where they have expanded the function and there will be continuous opportunities for progression.
Role and responsibilities:
- Report into the Group Procurement Director, within a a good sized team of fellow colleagues at various levels
- Develop, design and continuously improve category strategies
- End to end sourcing, within designated spend areas using a strategic approach
- Working with the senior business leads, to develop category strategies and category planning
- Continuous advice to the your stakeholders on market trends, new innovations and knowledge of the supplier market
- Be able to manage and understand both regulated and un-regulated complex projects
- Ensure in parallel to strategic procurement, ensuring best commercial value for the business
Experience required:
- Extensive category management experience looking after Soft FM or Hard FM
- Strong and proven, strategic category management in a large complex business
- Confident and personable approach when dealing with all level of stakeholder
- Show that you have delivered savings, in a large and similar sized business
- Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Board Level
- Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationships
- Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team
- MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
