Title: Non-contentious Construction Associate / Senior Associate 3 + PQE

Location: Bristol | Hybrid flexible working, no mandated days in the office.

Salary: £68,000 +

Join a highly regarded, top tier, national construction team specialising in non-contentious, transactional construction work. You’ll advise on high-value, complex development and infrastructure projects across the UK, working with long-standing clients across housing, education, healthcare, local government and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on construction documentation including JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts
• Advise on risk allocation and develop commercial, pragmatic contractual solutions
• Prepare and negotiate professional appointments, collateral warranties, performance bonds and parent company guarantees
• Manage matters from instruction through to completion, coordinating with clients, funders, counsel and stakeholders
• Support delivery of long-term PPP/PFI-style and major development projects
• Contribute to know-how, training and client updates on legal and market developments

Requirements

• 3+ years’ PQE in non-contentious construction law
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating JCT and NEC contracts
• Solid understanding of construction security documents (warranties, bonds, guarantees)
• Confident client-facing and relationship management skills
• Interest in infrastructure, development and public sector projects
