Leasehold Enfranchisement Paralegal

Raynes Park, London | Full Time | Permanent

About Us

Arcadia Law is a specialist property law firm focusing exclusively on leasehold enfranchisement, lease extensions, freehold acquisitions and related landlord and tenant matters. We act for both landlords and leaseholders throughout England and Wales and have built a strong reputation for providing expert advice, exceptional client service and commercially focused solutions within this specialist area of law.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Paralegal to join our expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to develop genuine expertise within a niche area of property law whilst becoming an integral part of a respected and growing specialist practice.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with the firm’s Directors and experienced fee earners, managing your own matters where appropriate and assisting on a wide range of specialist enfranchisement and landlord and tenant work.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoys taking ownership of their matters and is keen to develop their expertise within a supportive and collaborative team.

This role offers genuine responsibility, varied work and the opportunity to build a long-term career within one of the country’s leading specialist enfranchisement practices.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Statutory lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.
  • Informal and voluntary lease extensions.
  • Collective and individual freehold enfranchisement matters.
  • First-tier Tribunal applications and related procedures.
  • Sales and purchases of freehold reversions, including Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 procedures.
  • Preparation of new leases and leasehold title creation.
  • Deeds of variation and related title matters.
  • General landlord and tenant work.
  • Drafting legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Managing files from instruction through to completion.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, valuers, managing agents and other professionals.
  • Assisting with marketing, articles and business development initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with the firm’s risk management and file management procedures.
  • General administrative duties as required.

The Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience within a property law environment (leasehold enfranchisement experience is highly desirable).
  • The ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within a specialist area of property law.
  • Reliability, commitment and a strong sense of ownership over their work.
  • Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office.

What We Are Looking For

We value experience, professionalism, commitment and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of our team, build specialist expertise and contribute to the continued success and growth of the firm.

In return, we offer the opportunity to develop genuine expertise in a niche area of law, work directly with experienced practitioners and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the practice.

Why Join Arcadia Law?

  • Join one of the UK’s leading specialist leasehold enfranchisement practices.
  • Work alongside experienced specialist solicitors and RICS Registered Valuers.
  • Develop expertise in a technically challenging and rewarding area of property law.
  • Enjoy genuine responsibility and varied, high-quality work.
  • Be part of a supportive, collaborative and growing team.
  • Excellent long-term career development opportunities.
