About the Company

An established, employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead and grow its Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) service in Scotland.

About the Role

This is a senior role focused on leading a team, developing a strong pipeline of work, and ensuring high-quality environmental compliance across construction projects. You will play a key role in strengthening existing services while identifying opportunities for growth within the development and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with clients, regulators, and internal teams, you will deliver practical and compliant solutions.
  • You will provide technical oversight on environmental risk management, including pollution prevention, water, waste, and protected species.
  • You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ecology, planning, and related areas to deliver integrated outcomes.
  • The role includes responsibility for mentoring and developing team members, maintaining delivery standards, and contributing to the strategic direction of the wider environmental offer.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in EnvCoW or construction-phase environmental management
  • Proven track record in managing projects and teams
  • Solid understanding of environmental compliance and risk
  • Commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in infrastructure projects (e.g. energy, transport, utilities)
  • Full UK driving licence

Required Skills

Pay range and compensation package

Salary: £58,000 – £64,750 (dependent on experience) + Tax Free Bonus (up to 3.6k)

Hybrid working: mix of office, site, and remote
